Cancellations Policy

Cancellations and Postponements Policy

By making a booking with That History Bloke and confirming dates, times and session details, you have entered a formal contract. In some circumstances, cancellations or postponements do occur. This document outlines That History Bloke's Cancellation Policy regarding cancellation/postponement charges and notice.

In the case of a school, educational establishment, youth group, adult group or museum/library making a cancellation or postponement:

On occasions, sessions are cancelled by customers because of situations outside of That History Bloke's control. Of course, unforeseen circumstances and human errors do occur, but out of courtesy, That History Bloke politely asks that you kindly give him as much notice as possible of any possibility of cancellation or postponement. Should any establishment such as a school, group or institution wish to cancel or postpone a session, they may be liable to pay a cancellation charge. The cancellation charge is dependent on the length of notice given to That History Bloke before the agreed educational session were to take place.

Cancellation/Postponement charges are as follows:

If notice of cancellation or postponement were given more than three full weeks (21 full days or more) before the agreed session date:

That History Bloke will not charge the establishment in question for the session.

If notice of cancellation or postponement were given between one and three full weeks (8 - 20 full days) before the agreed session date:

That History Bloke reserves the right to charge a cancellation or postponement fee of half of the agreed original cost of the session. A new invoice will be generated and sent to the establishment in question.

If a school cancels with a week or less before the session (anywhere up to 7 full days) before the agreed session date:

That History Bloke reserves the right to charge a cancellation or postponement fee of the full agreed original cost of the session. A new invoice will be generated and sent to the establishment in question.

In the case of That History Bloke himself making a cancellation:

That History Bloke reserves the right to cancel a visit to a school, meeting place or other institution at short notice in the case of illness, breavement, weather or other unavoidable issues. Where possible, he will give as much prior warning as possible and will endeavour to reschedule the session at the earliest opportunity. If he is unable to reschedule, then there will be no charge for the cancelled session.
